Meet the Author - Simon James

We were lucky enough to be visited by the author and artist Simon James. Simon ran workshops for all the children in the school in which he shared his books and talked about how he became a writer. He had some funny stories about what he did before he was a published author - including being asked to leave the police for drawing penguins in his notebook! 

Simon then showed the children how he goes about drawing his characters and illustrations and produced some special drawings just for us!  He painted us a beautiful picture which for us to put up in our school library. Everyone had a great time and some of our children have been truly inspired by his visit.
