Nursery Consultation

Over the last few months South Brent Primary School, together with The Harbour Schools Partnership, has been working closely with the Local Authority (LA) to investigate and respond to the need for additional early years nursery spaces within our local community.

I am pleased to inform you that the school has now completed its initial application to the LA to expand the schools age range from 4 - 11 years, to 9 months - 11 years.  If approved, this would result in the school being able to open a school based nursery operating out of the school’s current Den building.

Should our nursery application be approved, we would be able to offer our community additional early years places ranging from 9months to 4 years.  This will involve some remedial work being undertaken in the Den building prior to the nursery opening.

Currently we are at the beginning of the consultation stage and are, therefore, seeking your views and the views of all our community stakeholders. The consultation opened today (5th Novemeber 25) and will be live for the next three weeks. It has been published on the LA’s website and can be viewed here .
